NZ Warbirds Armistice Day Open Day

Well the day threatened to rain at times but stayed away,  plenty of wind though.
Top performers for me was the P-51 Mustang punching in low and fast.
The Catalina displaying very well for such a large aircraft and stayed in range of the airfield.
The Spitfire showing how it can turn on a dime, and it bloody well can.

A few imaged of the days event.

Wingspan, National Bird Of Prey Center NZ

Hello

The set of images attached were taken a little earlier this year in which I have really yet to do a blog on this subject.

Wingspan Bird of Prey Center was established in Rotorua New Zealand in 2002.

Their goal is to restore New Zealand birds of prey into our daily lives and secure their long-term future through practical research based conservation action and education

At Wingspan’s core is a commitment to the conservation of the threatened ‘Karearea’ New Zealand falcon. Being part of New Zealand’s unique natural heritage.

The weather was not the best with rain but makes a nice background
