Hawaii 2015

My wife and I visited Hawaii as part of our 25th wedding anniversary and put a small package together to view the sights, for me it was the military history of the Islands and for the wife a chance
to get away and enjoy the sun and sights and spend some of my $$$ :).

Ill start off with the  US Army Museum and the Blue Hawaii Tour.

US Army Museum of Hawaii

Located in the Fort DeRussy Military Reservation and Beachfront Park, the museum is a great place to end a stroll down Waikiki Beach. The museum building is the former Battery Randolph which served as a home for the coastal artillery which protected Hawaii from invasion by sea.
This is a hidden gem. First, it's free (possibly a unique thing in Hawaii). It is in a fascinating building that housed a gun emplacement. The museum has interesting displays on WWII, the home front for Hawaii, Vietnam, and the more recent conflicts. There's a gunship helicopter on the roof,
Experience at your own pace. Authentic pictures, weapons, clothing, supplies, etc.

 Blue Hawaii Photo Tours.

We took the island tour and went to some incredible places without the crowds. Our guide and professional Photographer Marie spent quality time with us and shared her knowledge on photography,  The whole day was relaxing and fun...there was no rush. Highly recommended for anyone who is into photography, Her Knowledge about the Hawaiian culture is excellent which helped put emphasis to the sights we visited. She knows every spot most people don't know and you can catch the most amazing views.  Most important she takes her time and also she works with your pace.

  1. Awesome ... Turtle is very cool, I've never seen a wild one up close, only at sea.
