Muriwai Part 2

Muriwai Part 2

Well the plan was to head off to the Zoo for the afternoon but that plan failed due to not being able to find suitable parking, seemed like all of Akl wanting to visit. Altering the plan after a call from Will to say he was having the same issues we shot off to Muriwai to meet up with Rob for the rest of the afternoon. Not a lot of surfer action due to low swells but still able to get some shots off.

Not a bad way to spend the afternoon with the camera and a couple of friends
with the same interests in Photography, They both use the Canon 7D II and when
the both fire off in close proximity its like  listening to a German MG-42
Dak a Daka  Dak a Daka  Dak a Daka  Dak a Daka  Dak a Daka.

Muriwai

Muriwai,

Great place to spend an afternoon with a spot of lunch, definite place to revisit as the mood changes
with the tide. only down fall is I was not there long enough as the wife was with me, and you know the theme of that,  A happy wife = A happy life   :)

So depending where you park you are greeted with the below on the right side of Gannet Rock

On the left side the below

As for the Gannets, they are in nesting mode and always give plenty to photograph

Then you get the surfer - and captures reasonable shots with the Nikon D750 and 150 -600 Tamron
So all in all a nice afternoon.

75th Battle of Britain Flypast

The day started out with a poor weather forecast but turned out a reasonable day.
Meeting up with Will and Lee on the tarmac at Ardmore airfield we started the process of shooting the aircraft which were lined up starting for me being the P.51 and a couple of Harvards.

Next came the Pilots after their briefing prepping the aircraft and completing propeller rotations
moving into flight configuration.
